Welcome to Training at Malahide Sea Scouts. With support from Scouting Ireland trainers we provide an adult training scheme to help volunteer leaders to deliver an active programme to the youth in their care. The scheme is known as Woodbadge Trail, its strands are outlined below.

Whether you’ve come up through the ranks in Scouts/Ventures or just come in off the street, you need to do the Induction evening to become a Scouter (Leader). The induction process is outlined below.

Leaders are responsible for booking/paying for their training courses. Cheques should be made payable to Scouting Ireland, cash will not be accepted. A full refund will be provided by Malahide Sea Scouts upon leaders completion of each course. Please scan your course certificate and email to our treasurer John firstname.lastname@example.org who will facilitate your refund.
- If a participant is unable to attend a course, ten days-notice should be provided to the training administrator in National Office. Failure to provide this notice will result in the payment becoming non-refundable or transferable.
- Non-attendance at a course will result in the payment becoming non-refundable or transferable.
