She Floats!

After many many months of repairs the Group has finally set sail on the latest addition and the flagship of the fleet – Éiru, our 22′ Galion weekender yacht.

The Galion was originally donated to the Scout Group by Power Marine as a challenge to learn the art of fibreglass repairs but we have gained so much more in the process and have had a lot of fun along the way!
Throughout the project Scouts have gained great experience learning about fibreglass, carpentry, electronic aids and marine electrics, safety equipment and rigging.

Brought to you by our very own Scouts, Ventures and Rovers we are very excited to include this into our boating programme and are looking forward to the countless memories and adventures it may bring.

Congratulations to all the team who worked on her and fair winds to all who sail on her.
