In order to attend an overnight activity a leader has to have completed the Becoming a Scouter training course.

In order to run an overnight activity for your section, the Scouter in Charge must have the following training completed:

Stages 1-5 of the old scheme (pre 2016)

OR

• All strand of the ‘This is Scouting’ component (Gilliwell woggle) and
• The ‘Youth Led Programme’ module of ‘The Scouter in Action’ strand and
• The Adventure Planning’ module of the ‘Learning for your Team’ strand.

 

The Scouter in Charge must adhere to the procedures outlined in the ‘Scouting Ireland – Camping and Adventures in the Out of Doors Guidelines’:  SID-YP06-Camping-and-Adventures-in-the-Out-of-Doors-Guidelines

The  Overnight-and-International-Approval-Form must be filled out in advance of the overnight activity according to the schedule laid out in the procedures above.
