Beaver Colony Seen On “The Island”

It’s a long time since the ferry ran from the Sea Wall at Malahide to “The Island”. The Beaver Team was just back from Fort Lucan and took the short crossing over as part of their day programme .

On “The Island” games and sand castle building took place as part of their Sleepover weekend in The Den.  Not back too late the leaders had placed an order with McDonald’s. 50 Big Mac meals to be delivered to the Den.

Further activities stretched well into the evening with a night hike and a very late night barbeque of marsh mellows. Sleep has to come and by morning breakfast followed by presentations of certs to all Beaver Scouts who took part. The Beaver colony and its leaders take a well earned rest till September.
