Recently the Malahide Heritage Society moved their museum within the Malahide Castle Courtyard. Scouts had been asked to help with the move. It involved the careful carrying and handling of ancient aritfacts and museum pieces down a flight of stairs.

The older scout leaders present would remember using this very Courtyard up till 1975 as a storage area for our camping equipment .Since 1951 Malahide Scouts had permission from the Talbot family to use the courtyard and surrounding area for camping. A unique privilege that ended with the selling of the Castle to Local Government.
