Malahide Sea Scouts secure partnership with Irish Sailing Association

An ISA Training Centre is an organisation that has, in partnership with the ISA, undertaken to provide quality tuition and training to national and international standards.

ISA certified training courses can only be run at accredited ISA Training Centres, by suitably-qualified staff, which follow the relevant national syllabus, use appropriate well-maintained equipment and have adequate safety support. The ISA through its Inspectors continuously monitors its recognised centres to ensure that operating standards are being maintained.

Last minute checks and ready to cast off

The recent certification of the Malahide Sea Scout den at the Sea Wall on St James Terrace in Malahide makes it possible to give all our members and guests the training, and a recognised International Certification in Sailing. The two leaders from Malahide Paul McEvoy and Colum McCaffrey who brought about the certification were congratulated by Group Leader Robert McKernan who expressed the words of Kenneth Grahame “ Believe me, my young friend, there is NOTHING–absolute nothing–half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.
