An evening of thanks
The Malahide Sea Scout group extends its thanks to Robert McKernan last Saturday night who recently stepped down from the position of Group Leader. The 3 year term completed early this month by Robert who took over the reins of GL to the biggest Sea Scout group both here in Ireland and Europe. Fully committing himself to the role as GL and seeing many positive developments initiated throughout the last three years which included many new program activities and of course his drive and enthusiasm to get the development off the ground for our den in the next 12 months. Robert will be remaining on as a leader within the group .
Our thanks to you Robert and also to his wife Una and the 3 girls who have had evenings were their house was taking over by scout business.
The evening also gave leaders the opportunity to relax and meet the new Group Leader Colin Lynch who has taken up the role as the new GL for the next 3 years. Colin joined scouts as a youth member in Malahide with the Wednesday night troop and here he did his scouting and held position as a Watch Leader and Assistant Leader.
