Awesome Walls

Friday Beavers took a trip tonight to Awesome Walls, the climbing activity centre.  We had a great turn out of Beavers.

We got four great instructors who were very patient with all of the Beavers – thanks to Laura, Fionnuala, Al and Adam!

The Beavers all had to get into their safety harnesses and have a safety drill.  Then it was off to the walls.

The Beavers were climbing a wall that was approximately four stories high – our photographer had to walk up the stairs and he found that hard enough.  By the end of the evening almost all of them were climbing to the top of it.We had a few leaders even try the higher walls :-)

All of the Beavers had a great time – with some sore arms and legs likely on Saturday morning.  Thanks to Ciaran for organising and negotiating the extra instructors – it really speeded things up for all of the Beavers.
