New Hon. member Stephen Taylor is presented with award from Group Leader Colin Lynch

Since its induction in 1975 there have been 14  persons made Honoury Members of the group .From Presidents to International entertainers to Chief Scouts and those who have given more than profound service to the group over many years . At last nights annual scouters night out ,group leader Colin Lynch read to the 100 plus audience at the Malahide Rugby Club a citation to our newest recipient  Stephen Taylor.

Stephen had joined the group’s Friday night Scout section the very same year the award was born in 1975. He has held various positions within the group from ASSL to  SSL of the Friday night section for more than 25 years. In 1996  Stephen took on the  position of Group Leader a position he held till 1999.Members of Stephen’s family were in attendance including his wife Melanie. In recognition of service and  the positive influence to the many young persons of  9th Port Malahide we  bestow onto Stephen Life Honoury Membership of the Malahide Sea Scout group. Congratulations Stephen and thank you.
