Scout Den 80′s Disco Night

On a balmy spring evening last Saturday 250 revellers partied like it was 1988 in Malahide Scout Den.

 

The 80s reunion night was a great success with the partygoers reliving their youth to the tunes of DJ Freddy Gilbert. Guests enjoyed sea views from the bar set up by Gibneys and delicious food from The Smoke Street Brothers who set up their food truck outside the den.

 

Many thanks to The Wright Venue for sponsoring the production and entertainment for the evening. We are also very grateful to our other sponsors The Johnstown Estate, Fun Galaxy, Print Check, Gibneys, Graeme Egan, One4all and Sharon O’ Sullivan for her stunning flower arrangements. The event went very smoothly thanks to our scouting volunteers who all helped out with great enthusiasm. A big thank you to everyone who was at the event and to all involved in making this a night to remember.

 

All proceeds from the Scout Den disco fundraiser will go directly into kitting out the newly renovated den for our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Ventures and Leaders.
