Visit to the Irish Air Corps

Sunday Oct. 19th, 2014. On behalf of the Friday Beavers we would like to thank Comdt. Jarlath Heneghan and the team at Casement Aerodrome in Baldonnel for generously giving up their Sunday afternoon to bring the group on a tour of the facility and museum. Everybody had a great time and we learnt all about the fantastic job the Irish Air Corps does supporting the Army, providing air ambulance, Government transport and assisting the Gardai. On the tour we got to see the Government jet and Garda helicopter but the highlights for the beavers were sitting in the AW 139 and EC135 helicopters and the demonstration by the fire crew.
